Sony KV27TS31 strange problems
This set has no sound when going through the RF connector, and the
video looks like there is short white horizomtal random lines similar to electrical noise going through it. When going in through the video input in either the front or the back though there is sound and the picture looks the same. Would a bad SBX module cause no sound on signals input through the RF connector and allow sound when going in through the line inputs? And as far as the picture quality I suspected the 1-464=756-21 VIF/ sound module (the 2.0" X 2.0" X .50" metal module that I've seen go bad in the past). Although I've seen these become intermittent and cause the picture to just fade out, could it also cause this "electrical noise" effect too? I have had success in resoldering those but its very time consuming and I don't want to go that route on a maybe. The customer said that he lost the sound through the RF section some time ago and has been using the line input until I suspect the picture through that became degraded as well. Does this scenario sound like anything usual to anyone? Thanks, Lenny Stein, Barlen Electronics. |
