Default Boat motor question

I bought a boat with a motor. Guy said boat was a Lund, but hull plate says
Sea Nymph SS 161, Stanray Corp. Merc 40 hp 4 cyl. 2 stroke. SN OC186507.

Anyone familiar enough with boat metal to tell me what year the motor is,
what the OC stands for in the SN, and was Lund and Sea Nymph the same
company?

TIA, as usual.

Steve
