PHOTO OF THE WEEK, Silver Smithing
I don't claim to be a silversmith but my work in gem cutting just
naturally led to making things to put the gems into. My first efforts were based on past experience with sand casting. The first pieces were simple castings that I sanded, polished and mounted stones in a variety of methods. I then learned what amazing things forging (hammering) does to silver. This lead to table flatware, wine cups, rings and chains. js PHOTO OF THE WEEK: http://schmidling.com/pow.htm Astronomy, Beer, Cheese, Gems, Sausage, http://schmidling.com |

Hi Jack
I've been using one of your malt mills for years but never expected to run into you on the metalworking pages (Astronomy I would expect). Nice metal content. I've made 100 batches of all grain and the mill still works great. Soon as the xmas season is past, it will be time to get back brewing. Thanks for the quality hardware, Jim |

Made me wonder how many here brew or make wine. I'm making an orange wine at
the moment. Karl "Jim McGill" wrote in message ... Hi Jack I've been using one of your malt mills for years but never expected to run into you on the metalworking pages (Astronomy I would expect). Used to make wine. The Ausies do a better job than I do at less cost.
