Military to open combat jobs to women

[Updated at 9:30 p.m. ET] The U.S. military is ending its policy of
excluding women from combat and will open combat jobs and direct
combat units to female troops, multiple officials told CNN on

He saw the pineapple head into a rut which protected him from direct
shrapnel, I guess.

That wasnt a pinapple grenade. Probably an M26 rather than a M67.
The delay was longer. If it had been a "pinapple" you would have seen
a slower explosion with white smoke (black powder det charge)

That puppy had a very fast blast and only a small amount of black
smoke..probably Comp B or similar (Korean manufactured?)

Those were Koreans..correct?

I believe you're right there. Looking again, after increasing the pic
size, they had what appears to be a moat in front of the sandbag wall.
It worked, redirecting the blast laterally. They didn't need to
scramble that much, but I understand the thought behind it.

Grok that. The guy was, no doubt, an experienced gunny sergeant. He
may have directed that the moat be dug for that very purpose. Dropped
grenades could be kicked into there as they dropped to the ground.
