As the Twinkie crumbles...

Just how many more of these ticking time bombs do we have in the Americn economy? All businesses are ticking time bombs. At some point they all go off and they go out of business. That's the natural course of business. They serve a need for a while and at some point they come to an end. This business is just like many before it that have mismanaged things to the point where the company is no longer viable as a money making proposition. But I wouldn't worry about not having what were Hostess products. They aren't going away. The products that people want will continue to be produced as long as the demand is there. They will just be produced by different bakeries. That's all. Bakers are out there right now just waiting to be called to produce these products but in different locations. Also, as usual, the failure of this company is blamed by the management on it's workers, not them. It's the union's fault. It's the fault of the unfunded retirement plans, it's health care costs, it's always somehow the fault of the folks who do the work to make the product who are to blame, not the people running the company. Well, sorry, but it is the fault of the people running he company. They are, after all, running things. So if things go sour it's their fault. Don't expect them to be men about it and take the blame for the way things went. Expect them to act like typical republicans and blame others for what they failed at. Hawke Get a copy of, The Wisdom of Psychopaths. The book brings to light the thinking of modern upper management in todays bussines and high level government. On the face of it, psychopaths are often charming, outgoing people, who are eager to make a positive impression. But these behaviours are imitations of what they know to be socially acceptable: the so-called mask of sanity. The clinical checklist for psychopathy refers to "glib and superficial charm, grandiosity, need for stimulation, pathological lying, conning and manipulating, lack of remorse, callousness, poor behaviour controls, impulsivity irresponsibility, failure to accept responsibility for one's own actions", et cetera. Dr David Mashburn says "high-functioning psychopaths can be very successful. They appear to be confident and calm and seem to have their act together. The defining characteristic is that they are insatiable liars and skilled manipulators." http://www.sott.net/article/244013-P...olitics-Beware http://www.businessinsider.com/signs...th-2011-8?op=1 Best Regards Tom. -- http://fija.org/ |
