Default When Zimmerman is acquitted and the riots erupt, will you be prepared?

Hire an illegal alien. Call him "Tonto," or "Friday." Teach him to
load your guns. Give him one to shoot. You'll be ready for the Hordes;
even Mongols.

... or zombies. It's funny reading these armed to the teeth types that
can't even do their fantasy fighting properly. Him and Tonto would
look like Laurel and Hardy trying to put out their house fire from the
inside using dirty laundry. Or maybe he'll say he has a bunker which
would only need a cork in its vent pipe to defeat. The minimum they'd
really need is a small army that could work in shifts but then they'd
probably kill one another over who gets to eat the last bag of
Funyuns.

Spend a couple of sessions over on misc.survivalism, where this stuff
probably is coming from (or the guntalk group) for a view of how they
think. It is an amazing window into somethng we don't often get to see
in everyday life. d8-)

They are an interesting lot, the ones out there on the extremist fringes
of society. Whoya is right, their ultimate downfall in the sort of Mad
Max scenario they appear to be primarily preparing would ultimately
prove to be their fundamental inability to get along with and work
cooperatively with other people, any other people. Ed is also right,
even a glimpse into how their minds work, the things they believe, and
the sort of people they are can be quite disturbing, even alarming, at
times.

Well, a lot of the cranks who cross-post here are not normal people.
The pestholes whence they come -- which Gunner originally linked to,
years ago, and which have become part of the furniture -- seem to
attract a lot of neurotics who are looking for a home.

But even bitter, paranoid freaks need company. The problem comes when
they leave their neighborhoods and jump in here. What a mess they
make. They are interesting, though.
