Miami Dolphins sign ex-Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard

The Miami Dolphins signed veteran quarterback David Garrard to a one
year deal on Monday night.
Garrard, who had a visit with the Rams set up for later this week,
will likely compete with Matt Moore for the starting quarterback spot.



Miami hosted Garrard for a workout on Monday, putting the former
Jaguars quarterback through a battery of medical and physical tests.
The Dolphins offered Garrard a deal last year after former Dolphins
quarterback Chad Henne suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. But
Garrard and the Dolphins could not come to terms on a deal and he
later underwent surgery to repair a herniated disc.
