Not always the case, but in general:

A conservative finds what works and tries to stick with it.

A modern liberal seems to want to change to the "new" ideas that
have a long
history of failure.

Liar. The liberal wants progress (ie progressive). Conservatives are
the ones who want to retain policies with a long history of failure.

"Progressivism" is not progress. It is regression to feudalism.

Wrong, dumbass. Progressivism is the opposite of feudalism.

It isn't, you stupid plodding fact ****. "Progressivism" is
neo-feudalism.

It *subordinates* the individual to some involuntary
role, just as feudalism did. Under medieval feudalism, the average
individual person was subordinated to his role on the land. In modern
"progressive" neo-feudalism, he is subordinated to some collective. In
both, the individual person is not the master of his own life.

Capitalism, which is a beautiful and felicitous shorthand for "private
enterprise operating in free markets", creates the greatest amount of
freedom and autonomy for the individual person.

Capitalism is the ideology of greed.

No, it isn't. Anyway, you can't give any coherent meaning to "greed".
Whatever you want you feel is justified; whatever someone else wants you
feel is proof of "greed". It's meaningless.

Anything that makes money is justified.

No, that's not true. You don't know what capitalism is or what it
advocates.

Progressivism gave us The US Constitution, you moron.

It didn't. You don't know economics, and you don't know history. The
era, and the *spirit*, in which the Constitution were written are the
closest we've come to a capitalist ideal. It was beautiful, but then the
illiberal and authoritarian anti-progress "progressives" began to wreck it.

Yes they did decide to change things, not wreck them. They didn't stay
put with their feet in cement the way conservatives always want to do.
They actually wanted to improve things and that is something that
conservatives never think is possible. They're right in one way though.
If conservatives are in power nothing ever changes or improves. All they
know how to do is keep things the same.

I don't know why you bother to reply to George Plimpton. He's dead.
Been dead since 2003. I don't think it's George Plimpton anyway
because even dead he would have more sense than the person playing
George Plimpton.
