of libertarian types who consider themselves "independent" of the major
parties may vote Libertarian, but more often vote Republican, with
resignation. I don't think that most of them ever vote Democratic.

So does "independent" mean "neutral," or does it just mean that one isn't
aligned with one of the major parties? I'd vote for the latter. But then,
I'm a registered Republican who usually, lately, but not systematically,
votes Democratic. d8-)

Damn, I've been doing this all wrong, I consider myself a libertarian of
some sort and I've voted for Democrats, Republicans, socialists and one
Libertarian.
