Why, that's the beauty of the bible and all the other "holy" books as
well. Since they're all written by men, no argument there, it's also up to
men to tell you what they mean. That leaves the door wide open to
interpret what is written any darn way you want, and there is no one to
say you're wrong.

You can read some lines and think you understand it perfectly. Then
someone comes along and tells you it means the exact opposite. Both of you
are right. Because it means what anyone wants it to, what that really
means is that it means nothing. You can use it any way you want to and
you're never really wrong.

That's what is so attractive about believing those kind of books. They can
be interpreted to mean anything you want it to. That's why a certain type
of people are so drawn to them. They can use the book to validate their
beliefs. Conversely, other people see this ambiguity and understand that
these books serve no real purpose other than to make the people who
believe in them feel good.

But what you are describing is what liberals have done with pretty much
everything including the constitution, history, truth, 2nd amendment,
separation of church and state, and the Bible.

You like to blame "liberals" for everything it seems. When in reality
you just don't like it that other people see things differently from
you. Anyone can read the constitution. It's how you interpret it that
matters, and as they say, opinions vary. On the other topics you have
people who just see things differently. Facts are one thing, opinions
are another. You can have an opinion on the 2nd Amendment. You can't on
who was our first president. I think you discount what those you
disagree with as not having facts on their side. To me, it seems like
it's you who has opinions but are short on the facts.

Liberals don't seem to believe in victims rights,

Actually, I never knew victims had rights. Citizens have rights; but
what special rights does a victim have? Truth is they have no more
rights than anyone else. Being a crime victim doesn't give one any new
rights.

only the criminals rights,

"Liberals" only worry about criminals' rights because it is a situation
where anyone accused of a crime is facing the full power of the
government against a single individual. As you might expect, you don't
have much chance on your own whether you're innocent or not. So liberals
defend everyone whether they are guilty or not. It's the only fair thing
to do.

they take what is good and call it evil, and take what is evil and
call it good.

What's good and evil are religious inventions. Both are completely
matters of opinion. I think republicans are evil. Does that make it
true? You may think differently. So you can't call anyone right or wrong
on issues like good or evil.

The Bible isn't
difficult to understand for the most part unless you apply liberal thinking.

Maybe to you it's easy to understand but to me it's completely ambiguous
and contradictory. Try reading it objectively and you find it's
factually incorrect and it's just a work of fiction.

But to a liberal the story of Jack and Jill is about environmental damage
caused to the hill from two kids tumbling down it, it's really screwed up
thinking.

What you are doing it taking the views of the most extreme and applying
it to all. There are some people who take environmentalism too far. But
then there are people who will destroy the environment if it makes them
a buck. Then they'll walk away and not care in the least. If you care
about your environment you should be happy there are people out there
looking out for it. Will some not know where to draw the line? Yeah, but
you're better off with them than without them. Your problem is you don't
see things objectively. You see things from a partisan perspective. That
keeps you from seeing the world as it really is.
