David Stockman? What does the former head of the economics team under
Reagan know about the subject? You certainly wouldn't go to an economist
or an economist that worked under the ultra conservative Reagan
administration to get information about GOP economic policy would you?
Of course not, you would go to someone like Sarah Palin or Michelle
Bachmann, real experts on republican economic philosophy and policy.

All joking aside, when you have former republican economic experts
saying that republican policies are what have screwed the U.S. economy
then you know it's got to be true. The republicans have tried to install
what they called trickle down economics ever since Reagan got elected
but they could never get that kind of policy, that Bush I called "Voodoo
Economics", put in place. That is until Bush II got elected and had a
big republican majority in congress that passed all his economic
policies. The fact is those policies have nearly ruined the country's
economy. Everybody with even half a brain knows that. The people who
don't know it have to live with the handicap of only having half a brain
or less. Unfortunately, there are a lot of those people. They're known
as republicans. You have to have pity for them. Living with only half a
brain is a real problem.

Economy was pretty good until 2006, despite 9/11 and 2 wars.
That's when the "half a brain" people took over congress.

Yeah, and the cruise on the Titanic went very well for quite a while
too. But as you choose to ignore the making of our downfall, which was
brought about by "trickle down" economics, I choose to ignore the
failures of the captain of the Titanic which led to hitting the iceberg.
In both cases the disaster was not just a matter of bad luck. Both came
about because of the work of those in charge. At least in the case of
the Titanic those in charge didn't seek to blame others for their bad
decisions. Not like republicans who blame every mistake on their opposition.

So even though we had a few pretty good years before the disaster
struck, the policies that brought us down were put into play by the
republicans. Anyone can try to throw the blame onto the Democrats by
claiming their taking the majority in congress in '06 caused the
trouble. But those with intact brains know that is nonsense. The ruin of
the economy was the result of republican policies that Bush put in
place. You can pretend all you want that it was something else other
than that but you have to be working with only half a brain to believe
that hogwash.
