Should I move to Idaho?
"robert bowman" wrote in message ... pyotr filipivich wrote: Cockroaches using one's butt as a shortcut in the outhouse... that happened to a friend in the Carib. In Florida, they call them palmetto bugs. I was driving across the panhandle late one night, tired as hell, so I stopped at a motel rather than camping out in the Ocala, my original destination. I won't name names, but it wasn't a seedy, hot sheets joint. I walked into the room, flipped on the lights, and a 3 pound cockroach ambled off the bed. When I was in 9th grade, and we lived in Ft. Lauderdale, we used to race them in the schoolyard. The trick was to open up an empty garbage can and watch them run around the periphery of the bottom. Try to pick out the fastest one and catch him if you can. Then put one, two, or three tiny drops of nail polish on his wings, in your own unique pattern, so you could identify him. Put him in a matchbox and take him to school. Race him against others in a big circle on the schoolyard. That is, on days when there wasn't a 'gator sunning himself on the blacktop, in which case we weren't allowed out for recess. d8-) -- Ed Huntress |
