i posted a question to the microhydro group asking if there is such a
thing as a solar tracker that just reflects sunlight into north facing
windows (for light and a little added heat). someone said yes. i was
kinda surprised. i did a couple google searches to try to find one
and/but came across this. it's not a solar mirror heat/light gain thing
but just a light tracker, it's *comical*, it seems like a very insistent,
persistent animal.

oh, this is a solar mirror tracker (there may be more, i just did a quick
search, this would be more "metalworking" than the previous link).

i just wondered if people do this, if there's a reasonable economic reward
for the outlay.

b.w.

There was one called "SunBender" that automatically "powered up" when
the sun came into view and reflected the sun into a room window.
I just saw another one about 2 weeks ago online... but I can't find it
now. The guy could "send" the sunlight to whatever window on the north side
of his house that he wanted, using his PC to choose the pre-programmed
"targets" (windows).

It's the tracker from an IR missile -- all it lacks is rocket motor and
warhead.
