Default Cheap click-stop torque wrench

You're probably thinking that I'm all-but-decided on the HF and you're
right. At 8X the cost, I just can't see the S-O, or 5+X, the Kobalt.
But if somebody's familiar with the HF & knows that it's a POS, I'd like
to hear it.

When I was in the Marines back in the mid to late 70's, I asked why we didn't have click
stop torque wrenches for critical fasteners. I was told that the failure rate on first
recalibration was over 33%. We used a beam wrench with a dial indicator. Not as easy to
use but it was more accurate.

Having said that, torquing something where you can't see the dial or pointer is a pita.

A thought would be to buy the HF clicker and make a calibrator of sorts from a good old
craftsman beam type. I thought they made one with the square drive on both ends. That
would be sweet. Not sure the picture will work.
