How much will a 6061-T6 mold expand (inches per foot) when heated from
ambient temperature to 300, 400 and 500 degrees?

Assuming you're talking Farenheit temperatures, the thermal expansion of
common aluminum alloys is about 12.5 microinches per inch per degree F.

You can do the math can'tcha?

Machinery handbook shows 13EE-6 inches/inch per degree F. I'll let you do
the math.

Especially since you don't bother to specify what *you* consider
to be ambient temperature. Are you in Antarctica or the Sahara?

Or are you asking the net to do your homework for you?

Enjoy,
