![]() "Hawke" wrote in message ... Have you noticed that the "common folk" think that serving is such a fine and noble thing but the rich, and powerful, like the Bush family and friends, avoid the military like the plague? If they do go in they put on a show of "serving" like W did and then do things like going into the guard instead of opting for combat. You have to be pretty stupid not to see that it is the ignorant and lower classes that fill the ranks of the military and that the upper class stays out as a rule. Of course most people around here are so unaware they don't even know there are classes in American and that they are members of the low or working class. But then, if they were smart they wouldn't be in the lower classes. As mentally challenged as they are though you would think they could see that the elites just never seem to wear the uniform, just look at Cheney. But they never do and keep falling for the lie that serving is doing something really great. It's great for the common folk but not the elites. Gump was right, "stupid is as stupid does" and there is a sucker born every minute. I find proof of that right here every day. Hawke one of the royals served, harry or william, can't remember. i BET his unit was the most guarded, protected, electronically surveilled of any unit in the history of warfare (though, to be fair, he was a juicy target). i bet the british (&/or probably the u.s.) military spent millions making sure he didn't get in a jam or take any friendly fire. i do not know but it seemed to me to be a publicity stunt. i bet he feels like he served, and he probably was in real danger (anyone over there was/is in real danger, even iraqi civilians), but i bet he and his unit got special treatment, just so there would be a facade that the upper classes "serve" like the "common folk". b.w. |
