I was going to suggest just stapling them to the sides of his head... but I didn't... whoa, what? Don't panic. I had cataract surgery last Friday. Ah, OK -- glad to hear it went well! So am I -- of course. :-) I came home with a hard shelled protective patch over the eye in question -- which happened to be on the side closest to my computer monitor, and I'm not supposed to lift anything heavier than 20 lbs for two weeks. So -- I had to put my wife's glasses (which enabled me to focus as far away as the computer monitor) over the remaining un-modified eye to view the screen -- and they were a poor fit before the patch went in place. Then I had to twist my head around to bring the other eye into play until the Saturday doctor's visit where the patch was removed and the re-lensed eye was measured at 20/15 (good results). Outstanding results. I agree. She just did more tests today and still got good vision. Another set of tests Tuesday of next week, then I guess that we consider scheduling the second eye. Obviously, the stapling was not a serious suggestion. Obviously -- in this group? Well ... you would expect the suggestion in this group -- but I don't think that you would expect it to be put into practice. (At least *I* would not put it into practice on my head. :-) Thanks, DoN. -- Email: | Voice (all times): (703) 938-4564 (too) near Washington D.C. | http://www.d-and-d.com/dnichols/DoN.html --- Black Holes are where God is dividing by zero --- |
