I want to make some hinges and stuff that look old, but are not. Could I
take chisels and the round end of a ball peen hammer, and other striking

I used to distress wood furniture by whacking it with 2 or 3-foot
lengths of heavy iron chain. Gives nice random dimples. Would this work
on small metal parts, maybe if you duct-taped them to an old sheet of
plywood first?
