Just look at us here in California - we are always first - in both brilliance and in absolute stupidity. They are now talking about removing all transit subsidies (so busses and commuter trains will raise fares, have fewer riders and stop running, causing traffic congestion), eliminating school days (more traffic for moms or dads trying to keep kids entertained while looking for a job), making mandatory "days off" twice a month for everyone (making longer lines), stopping public works projects and so on. |
