Bush was a disaster. It will take many years to clean up after him.
McCain would have made things even worse.

Actually Bush wasnt even close to a disaster. FDR (D)...now there was a
disaster. In fact..I rather like Bush and most of his presidency. Did
he make mistakes? Yes indeed. But he had little to do with most of
the disasters that occured during his presidency.

Im just hoping America will survive the incoming ****stain. Ive never
see the USA this divided, and Im 55 yrs old. Not even during the
Vietnam war.

Where have you been the last four - eight years?

Out in the real world, making a living, rasising a family, running my
businesses. The usual thing.

Not to be cruel, but how's that working out for you?

Not bad, not great. Shrug..slow because of the Christmas season. My big
clients closed down for 2 weeks for inventory and the holidays. Ill be
up to my ass in work again when they fire the machines up after New
Years.

So Ive been taking a working holiday working on the homestead. I had 4
pages of Stuff to do, and got about half or so accomplished so far. I
put 4 new tires on the ex's car today, an expense Id not expected.
Shrug, but the grandkids had a pretty good Christmas, and Ive paid cash
for everything.

Works for me.

And you?

"[L]iberals are afraid to state what they truly believe in, for to do so would result in even less votes than they currently receive. Their
methodology is to lie about their real agenda in the hopes of regaining power, at which point they will do whatever they damn well please.
The problem is they have concealed and obfuscated for so long that, as a group, they themselves are no longer sure of their goals.
They are a collection of wild-eyed splinter groups, all holding a grab-bag of dreams and wishes. Some want a Socialist, secular-humanist state,
others the repeal of the Second Amendment. Some want same sex/different species marriage, others want voting rights for trees, fish,
coal and bugs. Some want cradle to grave care and complete subservience to the government nanny state,
others want a culture that walks in lockstep and speaks only with intonations of political correctness.
I view the American liberals in much the same way I view the competing factions of Islamic
fundamentalists. The latter hate each other to the core, and only join
forces to attack the US or Israel. The former hate themselves to the core,
and only join forces to attack George Bush and conservatives." --Ron Marr

I'm dead right now, too. Well, I'm making a whopping $35 editing a
short story for a neighbor. (Look out, Ed!)

I sincerely hope you went to Wally World and had the $18 tires put on.
I ran the cheapies on my Ford ($34 installed, balanced, warranty) for
a decade. They were made by B.F. Goodrich, the company who supplied
the OEM tires to Ford.

Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm doing OK, we're all healthy and fairly
secure financially. I'm ready for some lean years if that's what we have in
store. I realize I'm lucky not to have to worry about health insurance and
private pension plans that have been plundered.
