An IT guy in San Fransicko did pretty much that. He got arrested and
refused to release the passwords to the system. The mayor finally had
to visit him and talk him into it. That's why you should always have a
second and third in charge of stuff like that. The primary could go to
jail, get hit by a bus, etc....

That's exactly what happened here in San Francisco a couple of weeks
ago. The "Real" IT guy who orchestrated a meltdown of the city's
computer network is now in jail on $5,000,000 bail.

no. a *real* cluey guy tells everyone in the organisation his password
but tells no one his actual login name.

had to rescue a business from that scenario once.
I tipped my hat to the cunning of the guy. ...but I beat him :-)
had their attention though when it was realised that what he'd done to
them they had no way of beating.
