Eight of the top-10 subjects are non-metalworking related, and the "top contributors" include such non-metalworking contributors as Cleft, Tweety Bird, The Rat, Mary Poser, and Brickhead Might as well re-name this group rec.politics and start a new metalworking group. |

Install newsproxy (See below) and drop every message psoted to alt.kooks. It removes most of the crap, and off topic threads. -- http://improve-usenet.org/index.html If you have broadband, your ISP may have a NNTP news server included in your account: http://www.usenettools.net/ISP.htm Sporadic E is the Earth's aluminum foil beanie for the 'global warming' sheep. |

But vermin always find a new home. Wes These vermin don't seem to be interested in finding another home. Unlike many of the other posters here - who seem resigned to surrendering the newsgroup to the OT-ers and working around them - I'm willing to try to introduce a little misery into their lives.....online and off. Don't just block these assholes. Jump right down their throats! |

Perhaps we should also seek shelter in an obscure corner from other bullies and terrorists, too! Giving up a little freedom in order to gain a bit of security results in the loss of both!!!! This is a METALWORKING newsgroup. |

Perhaps we should also seek shelter in an obscure corner from other bullies and terrorists, too! Only if you aren't man enough to face the world. Giving up a little freedom in order to gain a bit of security results in the loss of both!!!! This is a METALWORKING newsgroup. Nothing posed through alt.kooks has a damn thing to do with metalworking so what is your point? Is putting screens on your windows to keep out annoying little pests giving up your freedom? Or does it insure your freedom from the annoying little pests? By filtering out the useless crap, you can find the METALWORKING on the newsgroup. You can wade through the kook's turds if you want to, I don't really care. Wallow with the pigs, or be a man. Only you can make that decision for yourself. -- http://improve-usenet.org/index.html If you have broadband, your ISP may have a NNTP news server included in your account: http://www.usenettools.net/ISP.htm Sporadic E is the Earth's aluminum foil beanie for the 'global warming' sheep. |
