removing nickel plating
The suggestion is to use an electrolyte made up of a 60/40% mix of
sulphuric acid/water, plus 30g/litre of glycerine (glycerol?). Q's: It's difficult to buy concentrated sulphuric acid in a smallish quantity at a reasonable price. Can battery acid (35%) be used instead? Is glycerine the same stuff as glycerol? Isn't glycerine a liquid? Why is it expressed in terms of weight? What's the glycerine/ol for? Thanks Jordan |
