In 1976 the following parties were well in operation for a number of years :

Socialist Labor Party since 1880's
Socialist Party since 1900
Workers Communist Party since 1920
Socialist Workers Party Since 1952
Peoples Party since 1972

American Independent Party 1968
Prohibition Party since 1872

Democratic Party since 1828

Republican Party since 1828



Is there any thought that there are not extremes in this list ? Sadly I don't have
todays list but we can spot those up starts AIP, PP are gone. Mabye.
But notice the extreme list of Socialist and Communist parties.
