Kooldeck
We have the typical Kooldeck around our pool in Florida. It's time for
resurfacing of some sort. What are some of the alternatives you have experience with? I like the temperature performance of Kooldeck - it does not get hot at all in direct sun. However, it does wear out and also seems to mildew easily. We would also like a surface that has a bit more "pizazz" than Kooldeck. Thanks for any ideas! -- |

You'll find lots of contractors that do this - sometimes labeled with a brand name such as "Kool Deck" or "Kover Krete". Generic products are cheaper, find a local contractor with a good reputation. High cost, nice appearance, almost zero maintenance but can be hot in direct sun: Brick Pavers. Avoid in Florida climate: Exposed aggregate, "broom finish" concrete, tile (slippery when wet). |
