Default Faucet repair

I have some questions about Epic faucets. My house came with mostly
Epic plumbing fixtures, although the some are Delta. As far as I can
tell, Epic is (was) made by the same parent company as Delta, but is
(was) "produced for the decorator markets," at least according to SEC
filings from 1993, which was right before my home was built. Other
than that, I can't find any information on Epic faucets.

The fixtures in the master bathroom and kitchen look similar to the
fancier Delta faucets. I was able to rebuild my kitchen faucet with
Delta parts, and everything seemed the same, except the odd sized hex
set screw.

For the master bath, the cartridges look like Delta cartridges, except
they are brass, and the ones I see in home center type stores are
mostly plastic. But the cartridge is not 100% compatible. They look
similar, but the plate at the bottom is thin on the ones I see in the
stores, and is thicker on the original. If I try one of the
replacements that I can find, it goes in but it leaks.

Is anybody familiar with Epic faucets or know where I can get
information on them? If not, does the cartridge I have sound like one
that others have seen on other Delta faucets?

I found that link before I posted here, but it did not have any useful
information.

Does anybody have general experience with Delta cartridges that look
similar but are not interchangeable? It's possible that they designed
new cartridges just for these faucets, but I hope not.
