hear reports that it works well. Stupid of those who relate this to
Trump who heard it was working and injected optimism.

everything. He said it could be a game changer and that there was
zero risk to taking it. In other words, he once again teed himself up for
what followed.

effective as the Chloquine and MAY be as effective without it --- The
tests have not been done.

GM dealership back in the early sixties. In the simmer they washed
cars in the alley behind the shop and if they guys had to take a leak
they whizzed in the corner on the scrap heap - where there was an old
larf pail lid. It rang pretty good under a full stream - and it was
getting pretty ripe back there in the hot summer sun. One evening he
connected an old Ford ignition coil - you know, one of those with the
vibrating points - to a wire leading to the old lard can lid, and to a
battery under the service desk. Next time he heard the ring of the lid
he pushed the button.

That's right, shame on Trump as usual. It's one thing to say that some trials
are going to be started to see if it's effective. It's quite another to say
that it could be a game changer, that there is no risk, it's a safe drug
and to do that in the middle of a pandemic.
Trump was doing that not to give hope to people, but to try to save his
re-election. He's convinced himself that a cure will be here very soon,
the facts be damned. He's believing his own BS.

Meanwhile I just read where another study with 160 seriously ill patients in
France with hydro showed no benefit. I'm sure Trump will be updating
us on that at his next press conference, right? He sure bragged about the one
woman in Detroit that says she was helped, that's for sure. This is what

but I agree he went off on half a story. When the dust settles we will
probably find that these drugs help a few people but are far from a
panacea. The blood transfusion thing seems as promising as anything
but that is a 500 year old practice, at least in principle.

Fauci is pretty good at the snake oil business himself. He changes his
mind about what is good for us at least once a week, sometimes more
often than that. He is another guy who should get his story straight
before he steps in front of a camera.
I really blame the 24 hour news tho. I am sure they are chasing him
down the hall at Building 10 looking for a statement a couple times a
day. Maybe that is where we should be putting up the quarantine, to
keep the cameras out.

You are aware of the effectiveness of the standard influenza vaccines
they've been tweaking for years? 50% is generous. There's no magic there
either.
