Whoever wrote that was historically challenged anyway. The Iron Cross
predates the Nazis by about 120 years and shows up on the Prussian
flag shortly after "the Canadians" were burning the White House.

The basic symbol probably goes back to the Byzantine Empire and came
to Germany with Order of Saint John around 1100 AD
