AN AMERICAN columnist has ripped into the European Union for turning
exit negotiations with Britain into a "hostage crisis".

Janet Daly, a US columnist for The Daily Telegraph, claims the EU will
not stop until the Brexit process has become "as bloody and as difficult
as possible".

Speaking on BBC's Dateline, Mrs Daly said it was no longer fair to
describe the talks between Michel Barnier and David Davis as a negotiation.

Instead, she claimed, the talks, which are deadlocked over the
controversial divorce bill, was a "hostage crisis" designed to punish
Britons and hold the country to ransom.

The panellist on the BBC show also mocked Jean-Claude Juncker for being
the greatest advocate for the Leave campaign.

It just shows how naive and foolish many Leave campaigners are. To them,
Britain is the most important country in Europe. To them, we hold all
the cards and the EU must surely come to us on bended knee seeking
forgiveness and favours.

Oh dear, now the EU is making demands in exchange for whatever favours
we need from them. Who could have predicted that? Don't they realise
that we won WW2 for them?

Correction: The USA won WW2 for them. We provided the parking space
