Concrete joints near pool
P The joints on the deck near my pool need to be re filled. What should
P I use? I've heard of Deck-O-Seal but can I also just use DAP water P proof concrete caulk? Should I pack sand in the joint first? Probably the same thing as what is used for filling joints and cracks in concrete decks and sidewalks. There are various grades/viscosities available. Some are available in a tube that fits a caulking gun. Clean out the joints, fill to within 1«" or whatever is advised on the lable of the filler. We used sand made for a child's sand box as it was relatively cheap, fine-grade, and was in a convenient to handle and reseal bag. The sand was also the right colour to blend with the sidewalsk he sprinkle a layer of sand over the freshly caulked joints, press in with smooth-soled shoes.
