When you decide to get a pet, make sure you know what you're getting. ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Wow. It's about 3 times market weight. The dog knows who is boss.

Lot of good eating on that but I imagine that's out of the question. My
parents raised a pig -- once. They managed to turn it into pork chops
but it wasn't the most pleasant experience. Chickens are sort of
anonymous and dumb but a pig can grow on you so they stuck with chickens
after that.

Pig are smart, I'm betting as smart as dogs and farm kids who've raised a prized hog for the state fair get upset when their pet pig is turned into pork chops. I had a roommate once who was ex-Navy and he told me that when he was stationed in The Philippines, his dog vanished. It turns out that his neighbor ate it. When I was a kid on the farm we had dogs and cats but no livestock. I made do with a pet pecan tree. I thought it was nuts to have a pet that needed a lot of care. ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Can you imagine the pig getting loose, running out in the street and being hit by a car? I wonder which would sustain the most damage? ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Try hitting a porker on a bicycle (you - not the porker)

My grandparents had a couple of huge long hogs, each in a wooden pen not much bigger than the hog. They always warned us not to feed the hogs, especially not sugar beats, because they said the hogs would break out of the pen and kill us trying to get more beats.

Hunting buddy had a small farm and raised chickens and pigs for himself.
Bought a calf to raise for the beef and his son named it Bosco.

We were goose hunting one day and broke out lunch and friend offered me
a roast beef sandwich which I declined as I had my own lunch. He said,
"Bosco will be disappointed."

It would be funny if the owners went flying and claimed they needed
the pig for emotional support. The airline would have to let it on if it
behaves and wouldn't obstruct the aisle.

That was one of my mother's prime bitches. The pig would get loose and
go touring the neighborhood and she would have to go find it. Except
maybe rooting up a flower bed or two it never got into trouble. It just
wanted a little change of scenery and probably would have been home for
supper.

In later years I had a beagle that would do the same thing except I had
to bail him out of the pound every now and then. The dog would hunt but
in comparison the pig was a genius.

I'd rather sit next to the pig than some of the idiots I've encountered
on long flights. The pig could take care of crying babies in short order
too.

Detailed a house going on the market. The family had a pot belly pig
so the house was literally a pigsty. Dirt up the walls and cabinets
where it walked. Even the back yard had to get new turf.

They better install some more floor trusses for that porker. I wonder if the
house rattles when it comes cruising through.

Except when one snares them. Ever hear a pig squeal up close and personal?

Yes. They raise hell when a dog has one ear and another dog has a
hind leg.

They don't enjoy the conversion from boar to barrow.
