turn it to the correct curring position which orients the gas tank on
the bottom of the unit. The tool starts right up & runs just fine
UPSIDE DOWN--gas tank on top. I have looked at the gas filter & its ok
(even took it off to try--no help) & the air filter which is also
clean. Gas cap air vent is working fine as well. Hate to get a new
tool as this MUST be something simple--I just can not figure out what
the problem is. Any help?

I just got finished working on mine for a different problem, I had to check
the gas lines that are inside the tank. I noticed that the line that feeds
the carb, had a weighted filter on the end of the line. So no matter how the
thing was positioned, the end of the feed tube would always be at the bottom
of the gas tank. Maybe the weight on yours has fallen off, or the line is no
longer flexible & when you flip it over, it just sucks air.
