Me too. This is about as close as I could get, wonderful thick steak.
Same with fresh fish seared in cast iron (differnt seasoning). Cajun.

Canary Islands that cooks entirely with direct geothermal heat from
the semi-dormant volcano

I've been there and eaten off it.

Wish I could find the link. Steam from the earth was used as a
community cooking place. Folks took turns. Had to get there early or
wait in line. People went, cooked food and carried it back home for
the family meal. It was a documentary I recall.
