Football fans may have to wait until Sunday to watch the Super Bowl--but
for those who just can't get enough, we've compiled a list of the most
incredible Super Bowl related facts and figures for you on the heels of
the big game; From how many people will be tuned-in, to how many blades
of grass are on the field--and everything in between. If you've ever
wondered what the carbon-footprint of the Super Bowl is, or if you'd
like to know how many Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of beer is
drunk during the game, we've got the answers here.

WHO WILL BE WATCHING?
151.6 million: Number of people who will watch at least part of the
game.

194 million: Approximate number of blades of grass on the football
field.

232: Number of countries and territories in which the game will be
broadcast.

34: Number of languages the game is broadcast in.

1: Number of languages in which the word "football" doesn't mean
"soccer."


HOW MUCH FOOD WILL BE CONSUMED?
8 million: Total pounds of popcorn consumed on Super Bowl Sunday.

The NFL is stupid, they risk everything by tolerating bad people and events in their organization. They are going to crash and burn.

they ignore bad behavior like micheal vick, cheating, and all sorts of other stuff like players beating up their wives. Plus all the other stuff they have managed to keep secret.

everyone in their organization needs a moral clause in their contract. from the lowly toilet cleaner to every player, and all team owners. require mandatory drug testing for all illegal drugs and including the performance enhancing ones.

make it a absolute zero tolerance policy, and can the current management that has allowed it to go on for so long..........

this may sound harsh but it really needs to be, or one day soon the organization will be crippled fiancially when the fans get fed up. that day is coming soon.

I agree about the NFL, and other professional sports, being an over-hype
display allowing the organization owners and administration to deepen
their pockets, but you are wrong about crash and burn, IMO.

Most people are idiots who vote because the candidate they like is
pro/anti issue which supports them regardless of other issues, they are
black or they wear a nice suit. Idiots tolerate the unethical behavior
within sports and other organizations because the morality of society is
decaying mostly due to the selfishly greedy "me" demeanor. Traditional
families are decreasing. Divorces are easy and plenty. Single parenting
is increasing. Parents want to be friends to their kids and not parents.
Parents want to sue schools or anyone else they feel is punishing their
kids yet they fail to do so for the reasons above. I could go on and on
but the main point is, the idiocy, corruption, cheating, criminal
acceptance, etc will continue because people will always support them.
Every year more money is spent on the sports/entertainment venues. What
does that tell you?

As the SB is a private corporate for profit event, how much are they
paying for all of the security that Homeland Security is providing? I
mean you pay for the TSA people providing the same service to for profit

Attitudes about stealing always existed, but seem to be getting worse in
some cases,
You are not stealing if:
you take from your employer since you are underpaid
you avoid taxes, the government wastes your money.
you are overpaid by making an inflated insurance claim, they make big
profits

Don't forget:
My kids are well behaved
They would not do what you are accusing them of
The teacher is picking on them
The police are picking on them

I swore off pro-sports years ago when I realized it was just for more
profit.

Two minute warnings that take a half hour to finish as that's when they
got you and flood you with commercials.

I'd rather go to the movies. I could go to twenty movies for the price
of an NFL ticket for the cheap seats.
