They are not illegal immigrants until they've been adjudicated
so by competent legal authority. Cops don't get to make that
call.

Cops can check the immigration statis of people they come into
contact with while performing their jobs. They can place illegal
immigrants in city or county jails until the border patrol
officers pick them up. We were discussing what to do if the
border patrol officers refuse to report to the jails and pick up
the illegal immigrants. My idea was to take them to the border
and order them to walk thru the gate in the fence--towards the
nearest city in Mexico.

Wrong.

Even illegal immigrants are entitled to due
process, they are entitled to a hearing on their
status, and even then only the federal government
has the power to deport them.

This has been explained to you many times
already, don't play dumb.

"The Due Process Clause applies to all persons within the
United States, including aliens, whether their presence is
lawful, unlawful, temporary, or permanent."

The US Supreme Court, Zadvydas v. Davis (2001)

And, of course, Jason doesn't explain why he would be deporting
non-Mexicans to Mexico.

If they came across the border from Mexico, they should be deported
back to Mexico.

And when Mexico refuses to accept them, then what?

That's there problem.

Whose problem is it when the Mexican police refuse to let
anyone leave the bus or plane and send the whole thing
including deportees and their complement of US LEOs straight
back to the US?

The fun really begins when migrants or refugees burn their
identity papers so the authorities cannot even determine
which country to deport them to. Seems like life in a
government detention centre is still better than life in
some of the hellholes around the world...

If they have no paper and can't be repatriated, make them:
- work and pay for their food and shelter
- the go out and do road repair by hand
If they have kids, take them away and have them adopted out.

After 10 years, if they're still around make them citizens.
If they commit serious crimes, they stay in the system for life.
