Doug belched: stuff snipped Why am I not suprised that "krw" is the top poster. This idiot always has to have the last word or insult anyone who disagrees with him. Actually danny d is, just look at the list. He's listed twice at #2 at 432 posts and #21 at 64 posts for a total of 496 But all of Danny's post have been *extremely* informative, on-topic and well-documented with many references to detailed information on the topic at hand. KRW posts, on the other hand, are opinions mislabeled as facts, dismissive, arrogant, mostly off-topic, poorly informed and bellicose. One poster like Danny D is worth about 1,000 KRW in terms of useful information. Maybe a million. (-: I'm pretty sure K's a false flag Democratic operative, working hard to make Republicans look bad. A damn fine job he's doing of it, too! It's too bad Badgolferman can't tell us what percentage of each poster's total represents off-topic posts. There really are just a handful of people who use AHR as their own personal blog/toilet bowl. -- Bobby G. |

If you had A-Fib you'd be tired out rather easily. Sometimes all you need is a Cardioversion (likely what you had) but there are more advanced non-invasive treatments like ablation that did not exist 10 years ago. Listen to the doctor and take your meds. |

If you had A-Fib you'd be tired out rather easily. Sometimes all you need is a Cardioversion (likely what you had) but there are more advanced non-invasive treatments like ablation that did not exist 10 years ago. Listen to the doctor and take your meds. Yea, I had a handful I was taking before, now I have a different handful. I hate drugs. o_O TDD |

Address them in a Letter of Appreciation sent to the Chief. Ask for the letter to be placed into their personnel file. Things like this may give favor at promotion boards. Some agencies have meritorious awards, some with a cash award. The Chief does not have to take your suggestions, though. |

You and I both deal with customers, retail and trade and so on. I'd guess that few people if ever say thank you. Certainly, few call to say things are working OK. I'm guessing that if you write a sincere and very brief thank you lettter, they will greatly appreciate it. Second, continue to be the very best person you can be, and treat everyone well. Paramedics appreciate saving good people.

Green belched: "ChairMan" puked in message news:jK8rt.149765 In Doug belched: stuff snipped But all of Danny's post have been *extremely* informative, Really? You found his how to move brush and his grout vs crud informative? You need to get out moreg I think you've got that *completely* backwards. g The people here that need to "get out more" are the crybabies that seem to have no other life outside AHR and who post hundreds of trivial OT posts to their four or five BFF's here about their daily gripes with a world they seem to hate. I find Danny to be a breath of fresh air compared to the same old whiners, (bad) amateur comedians, the political bull$hitters, the propagandists and the OT posters determined to make AHR a twisted version of Facebook, posting threads about whatever "shiny thing" or off-topic drivel that amuses them that day. The "comedians" here wouldn't last a minute at a real comedy club. Don't you think it's sad that there are 70 year old "class clowns" trying to impress their "classmates" with their lame attempts at humor? The BS's here would be eaten alive in a *real* political newsgroup because they confuse opinions with facts. The would-be "News of The Day That Interests Me" editors should join any one of the many still free newsites and comment the hell out of what ever nonsensical, off-topic BS that intrigues them. I've seen better newsgroups than this self-destruct and the path's almost always the same. The Barbarian hordes of the "I wanna, so I am gonna" posters drive off the on-topic posts until there's nothing left by a perpetual flamer war. That why I think Danny's posts are generally *quite* informative, on-topic and are helping to return the SNR here to more reasonable levels. So I find it odd that a few of you are lacing into him and posting downright insulting stuff with no personal provocation from him that I can find. Maybe I missed it. Maybe you'll be kind enough to reiterate. In case you didn't see badgolferman's recent stats there's a hell of a lot more noise than signal lately in AHR. 1 799 The IRS Scandal. 2 384 Boy Scouts Vote To Allow Gays 3 334 I LOVE making fools of evolutionists. :) 4 211 Sea shell fossils found on Everest It would be great if those numbers truly represented the group's members but it's really just a handful of people (and cross-posters who are even members) using AHR as their personal blog and trolling pond. I understand that there are quite a few elderly, lonely and unhappy men with apparently no social life outside of AHR posting here. I feel sorry for them that this is all they appear to have in the world in the way of a social network. The sad thing is they seem to be confused by what they have a right to do and what's right to do. Since there's no moderator, they obviously can't be stopped from posting whatever drivel or flame-bait they want to. I suppose that can be considered a "right." But what's really *right* to do, on the other hand is not to use AHR as a personal mailing list for their three or four BFF's or generate endless nonsense threads in response to obvious flame-bait, spam and trolls. *Those* are the people that need to get out more. And yes, I know I can filter out most offenders, but then I might not know when they give outrageously bad advice to a poster that needs immediate debunking. Should readers of AHR have to slog through the posts in hip waders because a certain few socially maladroit people don't know where the toilet is? If Danny doesn't hit a home run with every post, that's OK. At least he's trying to be a good citizen and not a flame-bait spewing troll trying to stir up trouble with OT political rants in a home repair group. As far as I can see, he's comported himself with dignity and self-control when responding to obvious insults. He posts pictures of what he's talking about, the URL's he's visited and comments of people he's talked to. Compare that to some of the morons here who don't know where they are (a home repair group) and who clearly don't know what they're talking about and it's pretty easy to see why I welcome Danny and at least a few trolls apparently don't. I see after reviewing your exchanges that you've got issues with Danny that I don't quite get, but that's your right, too. It's a free country. It's hard to understand why, with the galaxy of OT posters to criticize, you've zeroed in on Danny. Hopefully you'll be able to explain why. Or not. Doesn't matter much other than I find it curious when someone laces into a newcomer that's enthusiastic about the actual topic of the group and manages to avoid taking some obvious flame-bait kicked his way. The huge surge in OT posts from a relative small number of posters at least proves one thing: Free markets are doomed to failure because there are always some people that can't seem to regulate their own conduct and they screw it up for the rest of us. So what, exactly is the issue you've got with Danny that makes you feel free to insult him? -- Bobby G. |
