1965 Magnavox color console tv repair information

Hello Group, I just inherited several pieces of furniture from my grandfather and one of them is a beautiful 25" remote control console entertainment system that they bought when I was but a baby. I would really like to get it repaired and was wondering if anyone knows of a place I might get repair specs or diagrams for it. Seems the biggest problem it has is in the remote control. It is probably one of the first type as it uses a bellows in the remote that makes a puff of air thru what looks like a whistle of some sort. It seems to have a mind of it's own, and will turn on and off on its own. I know some will say it is hearing another sound but I unplugged the microphone and it still does it..Anyway if someone could point me in the right direction I would appriciate it..Thanks! John Hi, old discussion, but i can ask you about this control room and control console furniture? http://gesabgroup.com/news/advantis-...command-center |

It's a piece of perverted spam. I'm wondering if it wasn't actually done by an advertizing bot. ^_^ Strange. The link that was spammed doesn't appear to have any commercial value (at least not to anyone reading it here in this newsgroup). It seems to be a PR piece describing some airport technology (made by a Spanish company) being used in a particular airport. However, the post was injected from an IP address located in Spain - the same country where the equipment company is located. This seems to be following a pattern I've seen over the past year or two where a strange assortment of companies that make airport-related infrastructure equipment seem to be spamvertizing in usenet - mosting in airport and air travel news groups. |

John, This is a very old (1999) post and the poster may no longer read this newsgroup. It would be much better if you just asked your own question or raised your own points, rather than trying to use this old post which no one remembers. If your TV is broken I'd suggest an electronics forum rather than a home repair forum. Dave M. It's a piece of perverted spam. I'm wondering if it wasn't actually done by an advertizing bot. ^_^ TDD |

Not half as strange as all the spamming off topic new threads created right here by a certain Canadian nut under various screen names. |

John,
This is a very old (1999) post and the poster may no longer read this newsgroup. It would be much better if you just asked your own question or raised your own points, rather than trying to use this old post which no one remembers. If your TV is broken I'd suggest an electronics forum rather than a home repair forum. Dave M. |
