Chain Saw Lathe
Check this out. The chain saw supplies the power to spin the post
while cutting it. At about 4:30 into the video he shows how he uses a weighted board to slow the post down so the chainsaw will cut while also spinning the post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdxtP...eature=related |

Why do you say that he has a lathe? Did you watch the video? The post is simply mounted between 2 centers and it's the rotation of the chain saw blade that makes the post rotate. There is no "lathe motor" turning the post. Fast forward to about 4:30 and listen to what the guy says. |
