proper installation of double GFI receptacles in one box
I am doing a complete bathroom renovation. I wish to install two GFI
receptacles in a double box. The incomming wire is always hot and goes no further than the box in question. As there is already one existing GFI recptacle in place i can see how its wired. can i just pigtale its white and the new ones white to the incomming white and pigtale the current black and the new black to the incomming black and common the grounds |

Put your pigtail wires from the second receptacle into the LOAD terminals on the first GFI. That will make the second receptacle GFI protected. The current code calls for a separate 20 amp circuit for the bathroom. |
