Default Solid 3/4" hardwood T&G question.

I know it is "preferred" to use 2" flooring cleats to secure solid
3/4" hardwood flooring over joist construction with 3/4" sub floor. My
question is this: Part of the floor was laid down with 1 1/2" cleats,
will this be OK? They were spaced at about 10" apart. Thanks.
