Default Trouble installing new showerhead

I bought an Aquasana shower filter and a new showerhead, the problem is that
the area on the filter where the showerhead screws into doesn't really work
with a showerhead that has a big attachment piece (which my new one does in
fact have).

Does anyone know of some kind of pipe extender that's male on one end and
female on the other, that way I can install the showerhead?

Here's a picture of the shower filter so you can see what I mean:

Thanks.

with the small realtive size of the filter and the high flow rate, this
filter isnt going to do much.other than steal your $$$

save your money....

There are all sizes, sorts of adapters, etc. Any good hardware store or
plumbing supply store will have something. Take the thing in with you
and explain your problem to the "helpful hardware folk"
