Default Anyone know about "superpaint"?

Anyone know anything about "superpaint"?

I've had two conversations with guys who said that they used something
they called "superpaint". At the time I did not think to ask them for more
information what they were talking about, but the context of the
conversations was that this was some kind of paint (for exterior use)
that was a lot better (sticks to less than well cleaned surfaces, lasts
longer, etc) than anything else that is normally available. I asked at
a local paint distributor and the low underling didn't know what I was
talking about, and the middle underling (higher up, but not at the
highest [the boss wasn't there]) didn't know either but was goin to ask
the overling (the boss) and I'm supposed to get back with them next week.
However, he said he knew that there were other lines of paint besides his
"retail" line (this was a Pratt & Lambert store and the guy was the son
of the owner who wasn't there at the time) of paints.

As an FYI, I'm aware that there are commercial-specialized paints that are
not normally available at a specialised paint store (and even less so at
the discounts [eg. Walmart]). For example, I'm aware that there is a
commercial paint available for acid environments that will eat up any
other kind of paint and the stuff is like $100-120/gallon. I'm aware that
there is _fresco_ paint that will last hundreds of years (imagine
paintings on walls inside and outside of ancient buildings that are still
in good shape today, and that stuff is more expensive than your typical
paint, too).

Any comments?

Sherwin-Williams brand name for their top-of-the-line paints.

Any comments?

Yep -- kinda pricey, but *well* worth it IMO.

The "super" is in the marketing, not the paint.

Go with the liquid stucco or liquid siding if you want to be swindled.

Does it not do well below freezing or is that supposed to be "as low as -35°
F?"

Thanks,
Cappy

Who'd love to paint over the ugly vinyl siding on my house....
