Installing additional light fixtures in garage
Wanting to put some new light fixtures in garage where there are only
2 currently controlled by a single switch. Can I add each new light to the existing light like this? http://www.realeyz.com/misc/wiring.jpg thanx - todd |

If that's what you want, but you might decide you want two circuits,
no? Adequate power outlets? Not to make too big a job of it, but if you're already running wire, you might want to be sure you'll be happy with the finished job. Do a little such work myself- always a good idea to have inspected by a pro for sake of your homeowners insurance, be sure to follow local codes. |

Can I add each new light to the existing light like this? http://www.realeyz.com/misc/wiring.jpg Yes but your diagram picture is incomplete and is only one of several possible wiring schemes that you could come across. Depends on whether the circuit is hot fed at the switch or at the light etc. Kevin |

of the circuit before and after - you can see the 2 additional fixtures on the right in the second pic basically nut'd into the first set of lights: http://www.realeyz.com/misc/lights_2.jpg [img:794a92de4c]http://www.realeyz.com/misc/lights_4.jpg[/img:794a92de4c] Is this correct? Just nut one light to the next in a way that makes sense for your particular rooom layout. Be sure to match the wire gauge with what you have 12 or 14.
