Default Roof section reshingle

how long should it take a couple of roofers to strip off 10 bundles of
shingles, lay full cover ice sheild and reshingle? No rot. Materials
are on site.

Depends. If that is all that must be done, about 3 to 4 hours. (bundles,
not squares, right?) You say it is a section Therein lies the potential
problem. Working the new shingles in with old, re-doing flashing, drip
edges, etc may double the time.

It is never as easy as you think it will be.

10 bundles. there are 3 seperate porch areas below the main roof to do.
no "knitting" new with the old. i get nervous when a roofer states an
hourly rate. i'd much rather have the full cost up front give or take a
100.00. is that reasonable? given pro's who do roofs for a living must
have a time frame in mind.
