cross cut shredders
Has anyone every tried to unjam a crosscut shredder? There are some
interesting looking screws that might be removed. I am concerned about trying it because the shredder has to have some contact with the basket before it will operate. I wonder if I would mess this up by removing the screws. Thanks. |

Mine is a cheapo non-crosscut. I have opened it several times to pick out the jamming paper shreds. Finally, I figured out that the thing can't handle thin papers and it can't push paper through when the basket is full. SJF |

In short no... Most will have a "roll reverse" in case it jams..
I have a Fellows Powerhouse C-14.. It is a cross cut w/a cd/dvd cruncher.. Very Nice.. I toss envelopes and CC's in the thing and gone..
