If it were electric baseboard heat you'd definitely have a fire hazard, but the low temperature of hydronic baseboard is not a fire hazard

I did a search and still couldnt find an answer. Question On the hot
water baseboard heating units--is there any chance of a fire hazard if
you have curtains hanging over and on the baseboard units? This
material is flimy material. If not a fire hazard wouldn't it be a
hinderance in the heating unit for the heat to get through and do it's
job? When I wanted to put the material up higher I was told there was
no way it was a hazard but I can't see that there wouldn't be some
reason not to do it. Any answers would sure be appreciated. Just to
set my mind at ease.

Inquiring minds want and need to know LOL

Answered in PLAIN TEXT

No, there is no fire hazard
Yes, it will impede air flow and lessen the heating ability
