Default stucco

i replaced a window and now i need to replace some stucco around it. i went
to home depot looking for "stucco mix", but all they had was LaHabra Stucco
Base 100 or 200 (it doesn't say stucco "mix")... no one at HD knew anything
about it (go figure)... i bought the 100 but i'm not sure if it's what i
should have purchased. it said that it was for color coating, i'm repainting
the house so i don't care about the color coating, i just want to make sure
it's no different than normal stucco. did i buy the right thing?

thanks for any help

FH,

You need some pre-mixed and bagged mortar mix.
Or, 3- plaster/mason sand, 1 portland cement, 1- hydrated lime.

Also, if you cut the stucco for the new window you should take a claw
hammer and chop along the cut to make an uneven line for the new plaster
to 'key' into the old. Otherwise it will most certainly crack along
that saw cut if you don't.

I dont know about your area but in AZ, its called Stucco patch (everything
in one bag incl some F/G fibers) and available at HD.
