Is there a general rule about using nails versus staples depending on
the pitch of the roof? The material is asphalt roll-roofing on a
12"/12" pitch. Building codes are not an issue at this location.

If it were up to me I would use nails/ staples seem to be installed
under to high a pressure to often.

And a roof installed with staples is a bitch to strip when it comes time.
