I saw a lot of messages in this newsgroup in regards of having water
softener discharge into septic system and it looks like it's not a
problem with modern water softeners. But what about automatically
backwashed filter we just installed. During backwashing it uses 10
gallons per minute for 10 minutes. We have 1000 gallons septic tank.
