I love how the chickens taste with this, but I noticed it took longer to cook a chicken in the Showtime than in the oven. I also had the problem of the leg joints being raw when the rest of the chicken was cooked. It cooked salmon very good. The machine also did squeek after the first few uses but if you oil the sides where you slide the rotisserie part on, it stops making noise. You just have to keep doing it each time before you cook something. I didn't like how it cooked steak. It kind of stewed it. Also Ronco rips you off to get elastic chicken ties. They charge $15.00 plus shipping for a packet of 100 ties. $15.00 for chicken ties? Greedy.
bought this machine here on Amazon for only 30.00 refurbished with 6 months warranty and free shipping. What a deal? I tested the machine and I said do myself let me get few more to give to friends as a gift, but was too late the price went up to almost 100.00. The only thing I regret is because I bought it this year and I should've bought a long time ago even paying the 100.00 price. This machine is excellent I have cooked so many different thing on it and I love it. I do agree with someone that said that it makes a little noise, but just spray a little oil on it. It does what they show on TV commercial and much more ,just be creative.
I think that it is just great. I have to agree that it does make a squeaking noise when it turns and with a few drops of oil it is quieter but not silent. I love cooking with this machine. I just prep my bird and set the machine. It allows me to prepare the rest of my meal and/or rest myself. I still check on it from time to time. My gloves have worked very well, I have only used them to lift the bird out to baste or remove it. They have not melted and just rinse them off with a little soap and water and reuse them over and over. Even better, clean up is a breeze. As long as you clean up after each use. There are not that many parts to clean and I usually line my drip pan with foil and that makes cleanup much fasterEverything that has come out of my baby george has been absolutely mouth watering. I can't wait to try more stuff.
This Rotisserie is a gift from underworld. Despite trying many different combinations we can not make it to operate silently. It creates a high pitch eerie screaming sound that disturbs even our neighbors! Gloves that came with it melted, it is very hard to clean, and definitely not worth the money paid Avoid at all costs!
This compact model is ideal for up to 6 people, and for smaller kitchens. Yet despite its smaller footprint, it can cook up to a ten pound turkey. It's very energy efficient too, cooking food in less time and using up to 1/3 less energy than a conventional oven. Rotisserie cooking keeps food moist, by cooking it in an enclosed environment and from all sides at once. It also lets unhealthy grease and fat drip away. The 3-position switch lets you rotate with no heat, rotate with heat, or pause to sear. You'll soon be enjoying luscious Spicy Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, Merlot Marinated Leg of Lamb and even rotisserie cooked shrimp and scallops.
